About the role

A professional level sales position within the commercial side of the business, responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the General Manager to manage Team Members.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Maintain commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills

  • Necessary for success as a Commercial Parts Pro: working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic ability, communication, writing, reading, math, and use of Microsoft software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts, including knowledge of competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
  • Prior automotive parts experience preferred
  • Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfilling customer transactions
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Physical Demands

  • Walking or standing predominantly
  • Reaching with hands and arms
  • Climbing or balancing
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally

Work Environment

  • Usually working inside
  • Exposure to various weather conditions while performing tasks like installing batteries and wiper blades
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
  • Moderate noise levels

Compensation and Benefits

The good faith estimate for this role is between 20.75 USD and 23.09 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
