About the Role

Professional-level sales position responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the General Manager to oversee team members and ensure timely, accurate delivery of parts from multiple sources, including special order, FDO, and second-source suppliers.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow commercial customer relationships
• Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
• Achieve personal, store sales, and service objectives
• Provide day-to-day supervisory support for team members
• Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for team members
• Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are met
• Maintain commercial stocking programs
• Build and maintain a network of second-source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain core bank and commercial returns
• Maintain commercial credit accounts
• Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Safety knowledge and skills
• Proficiency in operating inventory systems, store equipment, POS, and parts lookup systems
• ASE P2 certified or ASE-ready equivalent
• Advanced ability to source parts from multiple channels (special order, FDO, second source, etc.)
• Strong automotive system knowledge, including internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, and exhaust systems
• Effective communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain organized
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Understanding of commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure
• Fluency in English (Spanish a plus)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred
• Proven sales ability with experience in customer transaction fulfillment
• Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks and collaborating to achieve goals
• ASE certification preferred but not required

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing during work hours
• Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel
• Frequent reaching with hands and arms; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic/caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration
• Moderate noise level in the work environment

Pay

Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
