Commercial Painter
About the Role
Bring your commercial painting expertise to a large pharmaceutical campus in Fremont, CA! As a Commercial Painter with CBRE, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a world-class facility through high-quality finishes, surface prep, and specialty coatings. You’ll take pride in your craft while working safely, efficiently, and collaboratively to deliver exceptional results for our client.
What You’ll Do
- Use necessary tools and equipment to complete duties related to application of varnish, polyurethane, primer paint, two part epoxy coating and other specialty coatings.
- Repair and remodel imperfections; replace drywall, mask, prepare, and protect surfaces to ensure facilities are properly maintained.
- Responsible for loading, unloading, preparing and cleaning job sites, materials, and tools.
- Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of used materials to sustain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Review assigned work orders.
- Estimate time and order materials, equipment, tools to complete assigned work.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
- Participate in all required HSE-related programs & activities as required.
- Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need
- A High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience with 2-part epoxy coatings and GMP experience preferred.
- Drywall experience required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Qualifications
