COMMERCIAL PAINTER
About the Role
The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, coatings, stains, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, structures, equipment, and facilities. This position ensures high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards and completing projects efficiently and professionally.

Monday - Friday | Day Shift
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and repairing imperfections.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, lacquer, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet project specifications.
- Protect surrounding surfaces and furnishings with drop cloths, tape, and protective coverings.
- Perform drywall repair, plaster patching, caulking, and minor surface preparation work.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction are met.
- Operate and maintain painting tools, equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and lifts safely.
- Calculate material requirements and assist with inventory management.
- Remove old paint and finishes using appropriate methods and equipment.
- Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines regarding paint handling and disposal.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of painting experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or facilities maintenance environments.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, painting methods, and finishing applications.
- Experience using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and related painting equipment.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, specifications, and safety instructions.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
