Responsibilities
- Administer all commercial and contractual matters relating to a specific Project
- Minimize commercial risk and maximize opportunity through the identification and monitoring of potential risks
- Compile potential change orders and claims
- Record and forecast cost to accurately understand the Project’s performance
- Develop a culture of commercial awareness across the project
- Establish a commercial strategy with clear commercial objectives in conjunction with the Project Director and Commercial Director
- Review and respond to correspondence and meeting records from the Contractor
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities through to conclusion to minimize STV liability
- Submit potential change orders in accordance with Project contractual obligations
- Administer sub-consultant agreements ensuring accurate liabilities, payments, and notices
- Coordinate the management of claims to ensure timely responses
- Prepare accurate Profit and Loss (P-L) and Cost to Complete (CTC) reports in accordance with STV procedures
- Develop and encourage direct staff to take responsibility for sections of the project
- Fulfill any other tasks reasonably within the contemplation of the role
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with large-scale commercial builder contracting, preferably within the AEC market
- Strong financial background with experience of understanding contractual law
- Technical knowledge in commercial, contract, and risk management
- Exposure to large engineering and construction projects
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve problems independently and operate efficiently under pressure
