About the role
We are looking for experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultants to visit accounts in the area to perform insurance inspections and consultative visits.
Responsibilities
- Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
- Complete physical inspections of properties within assigned territory as required by the carrier.
- Take digital photos of properties.
- Identify and document any hazards/controls that are found at the property.
- Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property, as required.
- Upload reports/photos through a cloud-based system.
- Complete online training courses, as required.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience is preferred but credit may be given for certifications such as CSP or ARM.
- Work independently and efficiently to meet hard due dates.
- Able to adequately assess the physical condition of a property.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Able to operate basic computer tasks.
- Able to quickly turn around work in a timely manner.
- Own a computer with the Windows operating system.
- Be a self-starter and require little motivation.
- Stay on top of assignments, avoid last-minute crunches.
- Follow directions and instructions carefully.
- Be detail-oriented and well-organized with a flexible schedule.
- Have a reliable car with the ability to cover a wide territory.
- Have a digital camera, high-speed internet access with excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, and a measuring wheel or similar device.
Qualifications
- Experience completing property and casualty lines insurance loss control surveys and reports.
- A thorough understanding of general liability and property lines of coverage.
- A general understanding of commercial auto, workers' compensation, and inland marine lines of coverage.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision.
- Able to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Basic computer operating, typing, and internet skills.

Benefits
- Paid weekly upon full completion and submission of the report.
- Flat rate per inspection, or hourly, depending on the client's requirements.
Pay
This is contract-based work that is a flat rate per inspection, or hourly, depending on the client's requirements. Payments are made weekly upon full completion and submission of the report.
Schedule
Appointments are set at the mutual convenience of the inspector and property contact. Orders are sent and completed reports are returned through a cloud-based system.
