About the Opportunity
The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for managing the preparation, booking, and maintenance of loan files for commercial, consumer, and other specified loan types. This role ensures the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation and proper recording in the core banking system. The position contributes to the organization by facilitating efficient loan processing operations and supporting regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, book, detail, and maintain commercial loan files.
- Prepare, book, detail, and maintain consumer loan files.
- Prepare, book, detail, and maintain BHG loan files.
- Verify underwriting of loan files.
- Balance and prepare closing document packages.
- Set up payment methods such as coupon books or auto transfers.
- Ensure all titles, mortgages, UCC filings, and other documentation requirements are met and properly recorded.
- Set up loan participations with participant banks.
- Scan and verify loan files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience in commercial loan processing.
- Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, loan servicing, and regulatory requirements.
- Self-motivated with ability to learn new processes with minimal direction.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
