Commercial Loan Operations Assistant

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide the necessary documents to Loan Servicing for all new commercial loans, renewals and extensions.
  • Produce and distribute periodic volume and activity reports.
  • Heavy customer contact via emails and phone, primarily processing transactions such as loan advances, initiation of wire transfers, loan payments, etc.
  • Prepare loan closing packages & assist in loan disbursements for new loan closings, construction loans, revolving line advance and pay downs, loan payments.
  • Responsible for data input into various systems; works with PMs and Loan Officers on loan closing documents.
  • Preparations for Loan Servicing: new loan set up, renewal approvals, extension memos, and modification approvals.
  • Update Loan Application Register & monitor loans for loan set-up in Loan Servicing;
  • Serve as back-up to report and log all commercial loans not originated (denied, withdrawn, approved not accepted and incomplete).
  • Prepare and distribute reports for Business Banking Division and Commercial Loan Officers.
  • Manage all commercial documents files; Scan appropriate documents into Departmental Drive and origination platform Abrigo.
  • Maintain all required information logs.
  • Absorb and distribute information by using the telephone, mail services, Web sites, and e-mail.
  • Follow up on expired insurance policies, including outreach to insurance agents and bank clients to obtain current coverage.
  • Compile and prepare various monthly, quarterly, and specialized recurring reports with attention to detail and accuracy; Meets established deadlines for report production and distribution.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Completion of 1 to 2 year Associates Degree program of Administrative Arts program, at a minimum.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Experience with Branch transactions and Abrigo platform a plus.
  • Knowledge of office support operations, including proficiency at using Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office equipment required.
  • Ability to edit and proofread correspondence and reports, as well as multiple file creations and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with financial, legal and real estate terminology required.
  • Ability to multi-task and support a professional lending team; Problem-solving and procedural creation skills are key.

Salary

Salary commensurate with experience. Wage Range: $50,000 to $67,000
