Commercial Loan Officer
About the role
This is an outstanding opportunity for a relationship-driven lender with at least 10+ years of commercial lending experience who enjoys developing new business and building long-term client relationships. The role will focus primarily on C&I lending, with some commercial real estate. There are some ag loans in this branch's portfolio and any knowledge of ag lending or a farm background would be a definite plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Manage and grow a loan portfolio, including C&I and commercial real estate loans
- Understand and comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Work collaboratively with other members of the lending team
- Grow both loans and deposits through business development
Requirements
- At least 10+ years of commercial lending experience
- Experience with C&I and commercial real estate lending
- Knowledge of ag lending or a farm background is a plus
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage and grow a loan portfolio
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CLM (Certified Commercial Lending Manager) preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
