About the role
The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst III plays a crucial role in the credit approval process for commercial loans. They analyze financial information, prepare documents, and assist in the underwriting of loan requests. This position requires a strong background in commercial credit analysis and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze personal and business financial information to assess creditworthiness
- Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns
- Prepare and complete credit approval documents, including financial spreadsheets and cash flow analyses
- Underwrite renewals, modifications, and extensions of existing credits
- Ensure all credit files contain necessary documentation such as financial statements and agency reports
- Prepare and send letters of interest and loan commitment letters to lenders
- Monitor portfolio activities, including maturity dates and annual loan reviews
- Support the regional commercial sales team and their clients
- Process daily commercial credit transactions, including answering calls and preparing documentation
- Communicate with supervisors regarding account or lending concerns
- Provide financial statement and tax return analysis on various-sized entities, including RMA or other industry research
- Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as needed
- Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities
- Manage areas of responsibility, control risks, and ensure safety in a professional work environment
- Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, acting in the best interest of the Credit Union
Requirements
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a specialized business or trade field
- Five or more years of relevant commercial credit analysis experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow efficiently
- Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office, and commercial lending platforms
- Some travel may be required for work-related purposes

- Pass a pre-employment credit/background check
