About the role

The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst III plays a crucial role in the credit approval process for commercial loans. They analyze financial information, prepare documents, and assist in the underwriting of loan requests. This position requires a strong background in commercial credit analysis and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze personal and business financial information to assess creditworthiness
  • Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns
  • Prepare and complete credit approval documents, including financial spreadsheets and cash flow analyses
  • Underwrite renewals, modifications, and extensions of existing credits
  • Ensure all credit files contain necessary documentation such as financial statements and agency reports
  • Prepare and send letters of interest and loan commitment letters to lenders
  • Monitor portfolio activities, including maturity dates and annual loan reviews
  • Support the regional commercial sales team and their clients
  • Process daily commercial credit transactions, including answering calls and preparing documentation
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding account or lending concerns
  • Provide financial statement and tax return analysis on various-sized entities, including RMA or other industry research
  • Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as needed
  • Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities
  • Manage areas of responsibility, control risks, and ensure safety in a professional work environment
  • Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, acting in the best interest of the Credit Union

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a specialized business or trade field
  • Five or more years of relevant commercial credit analysis experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow efficiently
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office, and commercial lending platforms
  • Some travel may be required for work-related purposes

Vancouver, WA: $36.81 - $61.34
Renton, WA: $41.84 - $69.73
