About Gesa
The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst III plays a crucial role in supporting the commercial sales team and their clients. This position involves analyzing credit requests, preparing documents, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze personal and business financial information to assess creditworthiness
- Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns
- Calculate cash flows and financial ratios
- Prepare Credit Approval Documents, including financial spreadsheets and cash flow analyses
- Underwrite renewals, modifications, and extensions of existing credits
- Ensure all credit files contain proper documentation such as financial statements and agency reports
- Prepare and process letters of interest and loan commitment letters
- Support the commercial sales team and their clients by providing guidance and assistance
- Manage daily commercial credit transactions, including answering calls and preparing documentation
- Communicate with supervisors regarding account or lending concerns
- Participate in portfolio monitoring activities, including maturity checks and annual loan reviews
- Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as needed
- Maintain awareness of relevant policies and regulations
- Protect sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism
- Work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Five or more years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow
- Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office, and commercial lending platforms
- Some travel may be required
