The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst III plays a crucial role in supporting the commercial sales team and their clients. This position involves analyzing credit requests, preparing documents, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze personal and business financial information to assess creditworthiness
• Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns
• Calculate cash flows and financial ratios
• Prepare Credit Approval Documents, including financial spreadsheets and cash flow analyses
• Underwrite renewals, modifications, and extensions of existing credits
• Ensure all credit files contain proper documentation such as financial statements and agency reports
• Prepare and process letters of interest and loan commitment letters
• Support the commercial sales team and their clients by providing guidance and assistance
• Manage daily commercial credit transactions, including answering calls and preparing documentation
• Communicate with supervisors regarding account or lending concerns
• Participate in portfolio monitoring activities, including maturity checks and annual loan reviews
• Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as needed
• Maintain awareness of relevant policies and regulations
• Protect sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism
• Work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Five or more years of commercial credit analysis experience
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow
• Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office, and commercial lending platforms
• Some travel may be required
