About the Role

The Loan Coordinator III ensures the data integrity of customer and loan information within loan applications and product packages. This role collaborates closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) to generate new loan requests, renewals, modifications, and other customer requests using the Bank’s loan origination system. The Loan Coordinator III primarily handles complex loan relationships, including those from the Bank’s niche lending groups, and supports the training and development of other Loan Coordinators.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains strong knowledge of the Bank’s “credit culture” and advises Relationship Managers on deviations from standard practices.
  • Acts as a resource for Relationship Managers on loan operations and processing loan requests through the loan origination system.
  • Serves as a liaison between commercial lending departments such as Credit, Compliance, Deposit Operations, Loan Documentation, Loan Servicing, and Post-Closing Review.
  • Independently manages and oversees annual renewals, new loan requests, and monthly reporting tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Completes daily processes and maintains pace with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end volume levels.
  • Enters customer and loan information into the Bank’s loan origination system with a focus on data integrity.
  • Obtains pre-closing documentation requirements, including flood letters, title work, appraisals, entity documents, corporate searches, and credit bureau reports.
  • Interacts with clients, both verbally and in writing, to collect data, documents, and address customer service requests as directed by the Relationship Manager.
  • Reviews closed loan packages to ensure no unauthorized changes were made to loan documents at closing.
  • Requests Change Memos for adjustments made to loan requests post-approval.
  • Verifies recordation and collateral perfection, if applicable.
  • Monitors and assists in clearing exception items.
  • Provides guidance and training to other Loan Coordinators in support of the Regional Manager.
  • Monitors monthly reports for the RM Team.
  • Assists in processing and responding to daily overdrafts per RM instructions and bank policies.
  • Assembles and coordinates required financial information from clients to the Credit Department for analysis.
  • Provides back-up support for other Loan Coordinators during vacations and high-volume periods.
  • Participates on internal committees and task forces as requested by the Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of loan coordinating experience.
  • Capable of managing a pipeline of 20+ loans at any given time.
  • Strong knowledge of C&I and CRE lending processes and procedures.
  • Previous exposure to attorney-prepared documentation and commercial construction.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and proprietary bank systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently under frequent time pressures.
  • Ability to handle complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to complete work with frequent interruptions.

Pay

Base pay range: $63,000 - $80,000 annual. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
