Commercial Litigation, Trucking, and Product Liability Attorneys

About the role

We are seeking attorneys with 3 to 7 years of civil defense litigation experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will have experience handling matters involving transportation/trucking, product liability, and/or commercial litigation, including high-exposure cases for sophisticated commercial and self-insured clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex, high-stakes matters under the guidance of an experienced trial attorney.
• Contribute from day one in a collaborative litigation practice, taking ownership of a significant caseload.
• Take depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and manage large, corporate clients' written discovery.
• Develop and implement case strategy, work with experts, conduct case investigations, perform legal research, attend court appearances, communicate with clients, and manage cases through all phases of litigation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide substantive mentorship designed to accelerate your development as a litigator.

Requirements

• Strong litigation fundamentals, including experience in all aspects of civil litigation.
• Excellent writing and persuasive speaking skills.
• Proven research ability.
• Strong academic background.
• Ability to handle significant responsibility with judgment and professionalism.
• Licensed and admitted to practice in North Carolina.
• Ready to work in person in our Raleigh office at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation/trucking, product liability, and/or commercial litigation.
• High-exposure cases for sophisticated commercial and self-insured clients.
• Experience with depositions, dispositive motions, and large, corporate clients' written discovery.
• Case strategy, expert work, case investigation, legal research, court appearances, client communication, and managing complex cases through all phases of litigation.
