About the role
The Legal Secretary will support attorneys in a fast-paced bankruptcy and commercial litigation practice. This position is onsite five days per week for the first six months, then transitions to a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote).
Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence.
- File documents in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts (e-filing required).
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling.
- Prepare engagement letters, open new matters, and maintain case files.
- Process expense reports, invoices, and check requests.
- Cook up meetings and provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Aid with overflow work and support team members as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal secretary experience, preferably in bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of court filings, legal terminology, and litigation procedures.
- Experience with PACER, ECF, iManage (or similar DMS), Aderant, Litera, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to create Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities.
- High school diploma required.
Pay
The salary range for this position is expected to be between $90,000-100,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
