Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation and class action matters in state and federal courts.
  • Defend class action lawsuits, including privacy, consumer, and data breach-related claims.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategy for sophisticated disputes and high-exposure matters.
  • Draft and argue substantive motions, including: Motions to dismiss, Motions to strike, Class certification and class certification opposition motions, Motions for summary judgment, and Other dispositive motions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, memoranda, and court filings.
  • Manage written discovery, e-discovery, document review, and production processes.
  • Take and defend fact, corporate representative, and expert witness depositions.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants to support case strategy.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and draft settlement-related documentation when appropriate.
  • Cookordination litigation strategy across multiple active matters while maintaining excellent client service and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Work closely with clients, partners, and litigation teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the applicable state bar.
  • Minimum of 5-15+ years of complex commercial litigation experience.
  • Significant experience litigating matters in state and federal courts.
  • Experience managing all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case strategy.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting sophisticated motions, briefs, and other substantive filings.
  • Proficiency using legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
