About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants meaningful courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and exposure to complex business disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial litigation and dispute-resolution matters from inception through resolution
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic case updates
  • Prepare for, take, and defend depositions nationwide, including travel as needed
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
  • Argue discovery, contested, and dispositive motions
  • Conduct witness interviews, fact investigations, and document analysis
  • Perform legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda
  • Support and participate in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and evidentiary hearings
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on litigation strategy and case management
  • Deliver responsive, professional client service while managing multiple deadlines

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Experience in both California state and federal courts
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
