Commercial Litigation Associate

The firm is seeking a 4+ years Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation practice, with a focus on employment disputes, construction litigation, and overall commercial litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent businesses in a wide range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, and partnership/shareholder litigation
• Handle construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, delay claims, defect claims, and payment disputes
• Defend and prosecute employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour claims, and contract disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions, assist with witness preparation, and support trial and arbitration proceedings
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategy and assess litigation risk
• Work across industries including construction, real estate, technology, finance, and professional services

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Experience in construction litigation, employment litigation, or complex commercial disputes required
• Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, motions practice, and mediations
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients
• Strong academic credentials and JD from an accredited law school
• Affiliation with the Massachusetts Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
