Commercial Litigation Associate
About the role
Ballard Spahr LLP, which recently combined with Lane Powell PC, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its broad and expanding Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Seattle.
Responsibilities
- Manage cases, draft pleadings and briefs, conduct discovery, and participate in oral advocacy
- Represent a wide range of local, national, and international clients in complex litigation before local, state, and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels
Requirements
- 4-6 years of litigation experience, either through a law firm or clerkship
- Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials
Qualifications
- Active bar license in Washington, or the ability to waive in

- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Salary range: $250,000 to $305,000

Pay
The salary range for this position is from $250,000 to $305,000, which reflects the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
