About the role

A national AmLaw firm is seeking a litigation associate (2–7 years) to join its Houston office within a well-established commercial litigation group. This role offers exposure to a wide range of complex business disputes, representing corporate clients across multiple industries in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters such as breach of contract claims, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, financial or lending-related litigation, and construction-related matters.
• Drafting and arguing motions.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Oversight of written discovery.
• Preparing for hearings.
• Supporting matters through mediation, arbitration, and trial.

Requirements

• Experience managing discovery and depositions.
• Ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Texas Bar admission required.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Texas Bar admission required.
