About the role
Independent Loss Control consultants (1099 Position) are needed to visit accounts in specified counties to perform insurance inspections and consultative visits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and surveys/inspections of premises
- Identify hazards and controls
- Take digital photographs
- Make recommendations to improve risk
- Measure and calculate square footage of buildings
- Produce diagrams
- Produce a detailed and accurate written report of findings
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial lines loss control
- Certifications such as CSP or ARM may be considered
- Experience assessing the physical condition of properties
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Good technology skills, including operating a computer and scanning documents
- Ability to operate basic computer tasks and produce reports quickly
- Own equipment for the job (computer, digital camera, scanner, cell phone, etc.)
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for calls
Qualifications
- Current resume required
- Background check, including criminal records check and possible drug screen
- Bilingual a plus

- Physical ability to assess property conditions
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to complete work quickly and accurately
Pay
Flat rate per inspection or hourly, depending on client requirements. Payments are made weekly upon full completion and submission of report.
Schedule
Contract-based work with appointments set at the mutual convenience of the inspector and property contact. Orders are sent and completed reports are returned through a cloud-based system.
