About the role
Seeking experienced and motivated Commercial Lines Insurance Producers to join a growing team. This role is integral to transforming and elevating the insurance and risk management industry.
Responsibilities
- Meet activity and sales goals as established with management and provide regular updates on progress.
- Identify new leads and gather necessary information for future client appointments.
- Develop, present, and sell new business proposals to prospective clients.
- Ensure compliance with account quality and size standards set by the agency.
- Establish payment arrangements for customers.
- Conduct periodic service and goodwill calls to existing accounts and coordinate customer service requests.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to improve clients' risk management programs.
- Actively pursue the sale of additional coverage and policies to existing customers.
- Collaborate with other producers to share leads and participate in joint sales calls.
- Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and company representatives.
- Assist the marketing team in securing and negotiating quotations and coverage placements.
- Achieve educational and professional development goals as set by agency management.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and promote a positive public image for the agency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance (preferred).
- 3-5+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance agency sales (preferred).
- Professional designations (highly desirable).
- Property, Casualty, Life & Health licenses (a significant plus).
- Proven track record of successful sales and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex insurance information clearly.
- Proactive approach to generating new business and retaining existing clients.
- Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
- Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and prospects.
