About the role

Seeking experienced and motivated Commercial Lines Insurance Producers to join a growing team. This role is integral to transforming and elevating the insurance and risk management industry.

Responsibilities

  • Meet activity and sales goals as established with management and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Identify new leads and gather necessary information for future client appointments.
  • Develop, present, and sell new business proposals to prospective clients.
  • Ensure compliance with account quality and size standards set by the agency.
  • Establish payment arrangements for customers.
  • Conduct periodic service and goodwill calls to existing accounts and coordinate customer service requests.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to improve clients' risk management programs.
  • Actively pursue the sale of additional coverage and policies to existing customers.
  • Collaborate with other producers to share leads and participate in joint sales calls.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and company representatives.
  • Assist the marketing team in securing and negotiating quotations and coverage placements.
  • Achieve educational and professional development goals as set by agency management.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and promote a positive public image for the agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance (preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance agency sales (preferred).
  • Professional designations (highly desirable).
  • Property, Casualty, Life & Health licenses (a significant plus).
  • Proven track record of successful sales and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex insurance information clearly.
  • Proactive approach to generating new business and retaining existing clients.
  • Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
  • Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and prospects.
