About the role
The Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent partners with the Account Manager to deliver timely, professional service to clients. You’ll develop expertise on assigned accounts and uphold the department’s Standard of Excellence for client service, professionalism, and work attitude.
Responsibilities
- Process emails in agency inboxes and route renewal-related messages to the Account Manager folder.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries about policy changes and other service requests.
- Place Certificate requests in the appropriate folder or process them as needed.
- Assist the Account Manager with marketing tasks during the quotation process.
- Help clients/policyholders file claims or update existing claims.
- Process renewal certificates.
- Follow department procedures for preparing customer correspondence, certificates of insurance, binders, cancellation requests, insurance ID cards, and internal correspondence; ensure all activities and follow-ups are logged and the agency management system is updated and consistent.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Basic knowledge of insurance products, rating, and underwriting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, company personnel, and others.
Working Conditions
- High-pressure, fast-paced environment with frequent telephone and in-person interruptions.
- Ergonomic desk and chair; desk large enough for two large monitors and a laptop (provided by Leavitt).
- Quiet workspace free from background noise (family, children, animals) to ensure clear conversations with clients, carriers, and co-workers.
- High-speed internet connection: minimum 50 MB up and down (wired connection in your workspace, not Wi-Fi).

Pay
$50,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
