Commercial Lines Account Representative

Responsibilities

• Manage daily servicing needs for commercial insurance clients
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients
• Process policy changes, certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits, renewals, and cancellations
• Review policies and coverage information for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare commercial account renewals
• Obtain updated applications, loss runs, exposure information, and underwriting documentation
• Communicate with insurance carriers and wholesalers regarding policy servicing and underwriting requirements
• Identify potential coverage gaps and opportunities
• Assist producers with new business submissions and proposals
• Follow up on outstanding client and underwriting information
• Maintain accurate account documentation in the agency management system
• Respond promptly to client requests
• Manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines
• Collaborate with producers, account representatives, carriers, and agency leadership
• Provide professional and responsive customer service

Requirements

• 3 or more years of commercial insurance experience preferred
• Active New York Property and Casualty insurance license required
• Strong knowledge of Business Owners Policies
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Package Policies
• Knowledge of General Liability
• Knowledge of Commercial Auto
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation
• Knowledge of Umbrella and Excess coverage
• Experience handling commercial policy servicing and renewals
• Strong understanding of certificates, endorsements, audits, and policy changes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable communicating with clients, carriers, wholesalers, and coworkers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with agency management systems
• Applied Epic experience preferred
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
