About the role
The Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. This position requires day-to-day client servicing for a specific set of clients and entails verbal, electronic, and other written communications. The Account Manager will manage the renewal and marketing process, prepare materials for presentations, and collaborate with senior team members. This is a full-time hybrid role based in our Long Island-Plainview or NYC office, requiring in-office work at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Work proactively to form relationships with carrier and client contacts; may take an active role in meetings.
- Prepare and send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and compile results as they come in.
- Draft renewal presentations and review proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
- Communicate directly with clients and carriers, with approval from the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
- Create and maintain client documents in accordance with office procedures and update the agency management system.
- Serve as the first line of response for billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel, with assistance from the Accounting Department when necessary.
- Maintain a private workspace when working from home, ensuring secure company equipment and correspondence, high-speed internet, and minimal personal interruptions during work hours.
Requirements
- More than 3 years of Commercial Lines client service experience, including experience with an insurance brokerage or independent insurance agency.
- Demonstrated experience in relevant lines of coverage and managing a book of business.
- Fluency with EPIC or a similar agency management system.
- Associate's Degree (or equivalent) or BA/BS preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent with additional education/training required.
- P&C Insurance License required upon hire.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $82,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
