Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to support and manage a portfolio of commercial clients through proactive service, policy management, and strategic account support. This role partners closely with clients, carrier representatives, and internal teams to deliver responsive service, maintain strong relationships, and ensure accounts are managed accurately and efficiently.
Professional Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned commercial accounts, ensuring responsive and professional client service.
- Manage the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements, audits, billing support, and policy change processing.
- Review new business and renewal policies for accuracy, coverage alignment, and compliance with client expectations.
- Market new and renewal business as needed, including carrier submissions, coverage analysis, and market coordination.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal teams through clear and professional communication.
- Maintain accurate account documentation and utilize agency management systems and carrier platforms to support operational efficiency.
- Support client meetings, presentations, claims coordination, and ongoing service initiatives as needed.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members while contributing to overall team development and collaboration.
Qualifications And Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial insurance account management or related agency experience.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages, policy structures, renewals, and carrier processes.
- Experience working with agency management systems; Applied EPIC experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other insurance-related technology platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused and collaborative approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
