About the role

BayCoast Insurance LLC is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager who manages and services an assigned book of commercial accounts, collaborates with producers and carriers, and serves as a trusted advisor to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service an assigned book of commercial accounts with a focus on accuracy, retention, and growth
  • Prepare and process new business, renewals, endorsements, audits, certificates, and cancellations
  • Proactively communicate with clients to anticipate needs and deliver personalized service
  • Partner with producers, underwriters, and carrier reps to ensure optional coverage and pricing
  • Conduct regular account reviews, identifying coverage gaps and cross-sell opportunities
  • Handle billing questions, claims, inquiries, and policy changes with confidence and professionalism
  • Maintain clear, detailed documentation in the Agency Management System (Applied Epic)
  • Stay current on carrier guidelines, coverage trends, and industry changes
  • Support team initiatives and departmental goals as needed

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of commercial insurance coverages, rating, and underwriting
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy or service
  • Experience with agency management systems (Applied Epic strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
  • Massachusetts Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain prior to hire)
  • Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
