Responsibilities
- Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing responsive day-to-day support and issue resolution
- Collaborate with carriers and underwriters to market, negotiate, and place coverage
- Assist in marketing new and renewal business by requesting carrier quotations and verifying specifications
- Provide claims assistance, policy servicing, and ongoing support throughout the client lifecycle
- Prepare proposals, presentation materials, and renewal strategies that support client retention and growth
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy in rating, coverages, and compliance
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems such as AMS360 or EPIC
- Ensure compliance with agency E&O guidelines and documentation standards
- Document client interactions and maintain appropriate follow-up activities
- Issue certificates, auto ID cards, and other client documentation promptly and accurately
- Support audits, reporting, and administrative processes as needed
- Assist in identifying coverage considerations and risk management opportunities for clients
- Partner with producers on new business opportunities and renewal strategies
- Support client presentations, proposals, and carrier negotiations
- Contribute to retention and revenue growth initiatives through proactive account management and exceptional service
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of commercial lines account management experience
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance underwriting and coverages
- Experience in commercial insurance client service and account management
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems
- PREFERRED: Experience with AMS360, EPIC, or similar agency management platforms
- Ability to negotiate with carriers and advocate for clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Professional designations such as CIC or CISR
