Commercial Licensed Driver

Responsibilities

• Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Record cargo deliveries.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Inspect trucks and record issues.
• Follow accident procedures.
• Keep an activities log and log hours.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Plan routes using GPS system.
• Get goods to the client on time.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
• Collate and edit transport schedules based on passengers' needs.
• Arrive at collection points prior to departure times.
• Confirm that all passengers are present, and record no-shows.
• Avoid high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.
• Separate physical fights and calm verbal altercations, as needed.
• Record and report all major accidents and incidents to your supervisor.
• Ensure passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
• Observe all relevant traffic and safety laws.

Requirements

• Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
• Current TWIC card.
• Pass drug and alcohol test.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Provide a current MVR.
• Provide a medical certificate.
• High school diploma.
