About the role

The Commercial Lending Relationship Analyst supports Commercial Middle Market banking teams, ensuring the highest level of quality service to each client. This role uses independent judgment in loan closings and problem-solving client issues related to bank products (loans, deposits, ancillary services). Acts as a liaison between Relationship Managers, Support Teams, internal departments, and clients, while handling key functional reporting for compliance and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Administers tasks supporting the commercial sales process, including documentation of transactions and loan closing coordination with legal firms, operations, and clients.
  • Coordinates and communicates department activities with internal bank partners to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assists Relationship Managers (RMs) and Portfolio Managers (PMs) with loan closing activities, liaising with all stakeholders.
  • Handles key reporting, including portfolio metrics, loan projections, pipeline validation, and recommendations for report enhancements or data corrections.
  • Resolves issues from portfolio management activities, such as past-due mitigation, loan exception control, compliance with procedures, and loan documents.
  • Manages exception tracking and follow-up on financial statements, borrowing base reports, insurance updates, and required document compliance to mitigate risk.
  • Responds to and resolves technical questions from clients and Relationship Managers.
  • Manages client service inquiries, including payoff requests, lien releases, and subordinations to enhance retention and satisfaction.
  • Provides an exceptional post-closing experience through coordination of new accounts, courtesy calls, and other client interactions.
  • Performs special projects and additional duties as required.
  • Adheres to regulatory and compliance policies, completing required training and maintaining compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lending processing, closing, or customer support.
  • Experience with commercial lending legal and compliance requirements.

Skills

  • Good knowledge of commercial loan documentation.
  • Familiarity with banking internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in client interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Pay

Pay Range: $62,039.25 - $94,435.00
