Commercial Lending Associate

About the role

This position is for a Commercial Lending Associate in Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; or Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree and be a member in good standing of the applicable state bar. Three or more years of commercial lending experience, including real estate and/or C&I lending, is required, along with significant experience in secured transactions and managing complex engagements in a team setting. Self-starters with excellent client service skills, strong academic credentials, and robust research, writing, organizational, and analytical abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

- Represent regional and national lenders in secured transactions. - Manage complex engagements within a team environment. - Provide high-quality client service. - Conduct thorough legal research and drafting. - Analyze and interpret complex legal issues. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

- J.D. degree and active membership in the applicable state bar. - At least three years of commercial lending experience, including real estate and/or C&I lending. - Experience in secured transactions and managing complex engagements. - Strong academic credentials. - Excellent research, writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
