About the role
The Commercial Lending Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and office support to Commercial Loan Relationship Managers and the Commercial Loan Manager. The role contributes to the efficient operation of the Commercial Loan Department.
Responsibilities
- Aid commercial customers with loan and deposit account requirements.
- Identify and address customer concerns, working with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Relationship Managers, Credit, Loan Documentation, and other internal support teams.
- Verify and process funds availability and disbursement requests for advances or pay-downs under lines of credit and/or commitments, including construction draw requests.
- Review and process document files before and after settlement.
- Support Relationship Managers with daily overdraft reports and make decisions based on these reports.
- Assist Relationship Managers with collecting and monitoring loan payments from the monthly delinquency report.
- Identify and correct pending items from the Pending report and assist Relationship Managers with contacting customers and requesting items from the Financial Exception Report.
- Facilitate efficient workflow and organization of Relationship Manager's commercial loan portfolio, including updating CRM software and coordinating loan closings (with customer, lender, attorney, and/or title companies).
- Weekly update Credit Department on the status of approved committee loans.
- Quarterly prepare and submit SAC reports, which include loans, deposits, credit, and collateral analysis.
- Prepare outgoing correspondence as needed for Relationship Managers.
- Prepare and process Commercial Loan Documents as necessary to support the Loan Documentation Department.
- Manage Participation/SNC loans and monitor their progress.
- Prepare monthly sales reports.
- Complete assigned compliance training in a timely manner and demonstrate the ability to apply training to their duties and responsibilities.
- Assume other job-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank positively in interactions with both internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in various computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience in commercial loan and/or customer service roles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently, except for complex situations.
- A high school diploma plus four years of banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous documentation experience is preferred.
- A PA Notary Public certification is preferred.
