Commercial Lender (Full Time) - Midland, Wall Street
About the role
The primary role is to grow and retain profitable relationships by focusing on the delivery of value-added solutions to clients and prospects. This is accomplished by leveraging proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills.
Responsibilities
- Solicit commercial clients through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts
- Obtain and maintain COI’s and attend various networking events in the assigned geographic area
- Structuring and analyzing loans, generating a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans, and closing loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range
- Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or a related field is preferred
- Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred
- Typically, a minimum of seven years of direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
Skills
- Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing processes
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including working knowledge of C & I as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans
- Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven track record of business development
Working Conditions and Requirements
The role involves sedentary work, with sitting most of the time, and exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. The working conditions are typical of an office environment, with no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
Physical activities required include talking, average hearing, repetitive motion, and average visual abilities. Mental activities required include reasoning ability, mathematics ability, and language ability.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
