About the Role

As a CKE Technician at Nextech, you'll be on the front lines of service excellence — diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial food service equipment for a wide range of clients. You'll work independently while being backed by an incredible support team that ensures you're always set up for success.

Responsibilities

  • Performing service, repair, installation, and maintenance on a variety of commercial kitchen equipment including refrigeration

  • Diagnosing mechanical, electronic, and electrical issues and making repairs to manufacturer specifications

  • Cooking with a wide range of clients

  • Coordinating daily schedules with dispatch and ensuring all delays or changes are communicated professionally

  • Managing accurate and detailed electronic work orders and documentation using a company-issued iPad

  • Answering customer questions, identifying additional service needs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience

  • Participating in rotating on-call shifts for emergency service needs

  • Maintaining your company vehicle, tools, and inventory to the highest standards

  • Attending ongoing technical training to stay up to date with industry advancements

  • Reporting safety concerns and identifying potential new business opportunities

  • Supporting your team and contributing to a culture of service, excellence, and safety

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Industry certifications (a plus)

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage your day effectively

  • Comfortable working overtime and participating in on-call rotations

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Positive attitude, high energy, and a commitment to craftsmanship

  • Ability to handle physical demands and field conditions

Skills

  • Safe operation of a company vehicle for extended periods

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs and working with heavy equipment

  • Climbing ladders and accessing rooftops comfortably and routinely

  • Using hand tools and electronic devices regularly

  • Working in tight or elevated spaces, indoors and outdoors

  • Handling exposure to weather, electrical equipment, and commercial machinery

  • Wearing protective equipment (helmet, goggles, boots, etc.)

  • Performing regular bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
