Commercial Journeyman Electrician

About the role

You will play a pivotal role in executing high-quality commercial electrical installations from the ground up. Responsibilities

• Execute commercial electrical tasks safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
• Read and accurately interpret blueprint drawings to lay out and execute installations.
• Install critical infrastructure including site utility work, switch gear, and branch circuitry.
• Perform comprehensive rough-in and trim-out electrical work on commercial job sites.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical circuitry issues quickly to minimize project downtime.
• Mentor apprentices and helpers to ensure they work safely and build their technical skills.
• Arrive daily on time with a professional attitude to uphold project timelines.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in the commercial electrical construction field. Strong working knowledge of the current National Electrical Code (NEC). Reliable personal transportation to travel to job sites as needed. Personal hand tools, battery-power hand drill.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 5 or more years of commercial electrical experience.
• Completion of a formal electrical trade program or technical certification.
• Demonstrated experience guiding and instructing apprentice electricians.
• Electrical Journeyman's License in Maryland.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
