Commercial Insurance Underwriter | $70/hr Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Leverage extensive underwriting expertise to evaluate complex commercial and specialty risk scenarios in the US insurance market.
• Analyze, interpret, and structure coverage for excess and specialty lines, focusing on liability, umbrella, and unique risk categories.
• Audit policy language and provide nuanced feedback on policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Identify risk factors, apply sound underwriting judgment, and ensure compliance with industry standards and insurance regulations.
• Support the development of AI training data by contributing real-world insights on underwriting practices and coverage operations.
• Collaborate in a remote environment, providing clear, effective written and verbal communication to enhance AI system understanding.

Requirements

• Strong relevant experience in underwriting, specifically 4+ years in commercial lines, specialty insurance, excess casualty, or umbrella products.
• In-depth understanding of commercial P&C, liability coverage, and policy evaluation best practices.
• Expertise in policy interpretation, insurance compliance, and comprehensive coverage analysis.
• Experience working with insurance operations in complex or specialty risk environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate nuanced underwriting concepts.
