Commercial Insurance Specialist

About the role

This role supports commercial loan insurance compliance within a Fortune 500 banking company, with a focus on insurance policy review, renewal tracking, investor guideline compliance, and servicing support.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance certificates, policies, statements of values, invoices, and related documentation for compliance with investor guidelines and loan requirements.
• Track insurance renewals and obtain invoices, paid receipts, and evidence of insurance within required timelines.
• Review loan documents, appraisals, engineering reports, seismic reports, and Phase I environmental reports to determine loan-specific insurance requirements.
• Serve as a key point of contact for insurance questions, coverage requirements, exceptions, and investor guideline interpretation.
• Process insurance waivers and exceptions with appropriate supporting documentation for non-compliant insurance matters.
• Maintain accurate insurance data in servicing systems and support lender reporting and servicing insurance teams as needed.
