Commercial Install Apprentice

About the Role

As an entry-level team member at Everon, you’ll assist on job sites with the installation of commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and card-access systems under the close supervision of a senior installer, mentor, or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with the installation of alarm, fire, CCTV, and card-access systems.
• Provide reliable, high-quality customer support.
• Install equipment, cabinets, boxes, wire, conduit, and other materials.
• Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
• Monitor and ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Complete and submit all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Complete other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or vocational training.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, and procedures in English.
• Must obtain and retain any product certifications and/or licenses required by national, state, and local codes.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear.
• Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color perception.
• Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as ladders, scaffolding, high-lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, and above ceilings.
• Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
• Work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on-call availability” and be able to travel on short notice.
• Drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
