Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including:
- Water-cooled and air-cooled chiller systems
- Cooling tower equipment
- Boilers and circulation pumps
- Air handling and ventilation systems
- Packaged rooftop units and split systems
- Evaluate equipment conditions and provide informed recommendations regarding repair or replacement options
- Research and identify required replacement components and manufacturer-supported solutions
- Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and project updates effectively with customers and coworkers
- Respond to emergency service calls as part of the on-call rotation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle, tool inventory, and workspace
- Accurately document all service-related activities using company-provided software, including:
- Labor and time records
- Completed work details and service outcomes
- Equipment information and condition reports
- Customer approvals and signatures
- Provide regular updates to the Service Manager and Service Coordinator regarding job status and customer needs
- Utilize tablets, laptops, and company systems to complete reporting and documentation requirements
This position reports directly to the Service Manager.
Requirements
- Three or more years of commercial HVAC service experience with professional references available upon request
- Solid understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, controls, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Demonstrated ability to assess equipment condition and recommend the most cost-effective course of action
- Strong customer service mindset with a professional and positive attitude
- Ability to accept responsibility, make decisions, and contribute as a team leader when necessary
- EPA Universal Certification is required
- Ability and willingness to travel for service assignments as needed
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with limited supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including accurate service documentation
Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
Pay
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and demonstrated performance.

Schedule
- Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break
- Participation in a rotating after-hours emergency service schedule
- Additional evening or weekend work may be required depending on customer needs
