Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Service Area: Long Island, NY
Pay
$75 - $80k/year based on experience. Monthly bonus based on productivity and profits. Overtime potential.
Note: Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check and a negative drug screen. $2,000 signing bonus.

Responsibilities
- Commissioning of CaptiveAire Equipment: Verify CAS products operate as designed by testing airflows, reviewing installations, testing product functions using laptops and automated tests, and physically testing all equipment.
- Service & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and perform routine preventive maintenance on various commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and operation.
- Diagnostics: Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
- Customer Care: Communicate clearly and professionally with facility managers, property owners, and team members regarding system status, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly adhere to EPA regulations and company safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required).
- OSHA 10 Certification (suggested).
- EPA Universal Certification (suggested).
Skills
- Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems and ability to read commercial wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently, work on ladders/roofs, in tight spaces, and in varied weather conditions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Safety-minded with a clean and professional appearance (company uniforms provided and required).
Training
New hire training includes a 1-week course at our R&D facility in PA. Ability to travel is required.
