Responsibilities
- Commissioning: verify CaptiveAire equipment operates as designed by testing airflows, reviewing installations, running automated tests via laptop, and performing physical equipment tests.
- Service & Repair: troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Maintenance: develop, maintain and perform routine preventive maintenance on various commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and operation.
- Diagnostics: read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
- Customer Care: communicate clearly and professionally with facility managers, property owners and team members regarding system status, required repairs and maintenance recommendations.
- Compliance & Safety: strict adherence to EPA regulations and company safety standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- OSHA 10 certification (suggested).
- EPA Universal certification (suggested).
- Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems; ability to read commercial wiring schematics and refrigeration cycles.
- Ability to lift independently up to 50 lbs., work on ladders/roofs, in tight spaces and in varied weather conditions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, strong verbal/written communication skills and a safety-minded approach.
- Clean and professional appearance; company uniforms provided and required.
- New hire training requires a 1-week course at the R&D facility in PA; travel required.
