Commercial HVAC Service Technician
About the role
$2,000 signing bonus. Salary $60 – $80k/year based on experience with monthly productivity- and profit-based bonuses and overtime potential. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check and a negative drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Commissioning of CaptiveAire equipment: verify operation by testing airflows, reviewing installations, running automated tests via laptop, and performing physical equipment checks.
- Service & repair: troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Maintenance: develop, maintain and perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Diagnostics: read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
- Customer care: communicate clearly and professionally with facility managers, property owners and team members regarding system status, required repairs and maintenance recommendations.
- Compliance & safety: strict adherence to EPA regulations and company safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 certification (suggested).
- EPA Universal certification (suggested).
Skills
- Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems and ability to read commercial wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycles.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and strong verbal/written communication.
- Safety-minded individual capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., working on ladders/roofs, in tight spaces and in varied weather conditions.
- Clean and professional appearance; company uniforms provided and required.
Training & Travel
- One-week new-hire training at CaptiveAire’s R&D facility in PA.
- Ability to travel required.
