About the role
$60,000–$75,000 per year based on experience, plus a monthly productivity/profitability bonus and potential overtime. A $2,000 signing bonus is offered.
Responsibilities
- Commission CaptiveAire equipment by testing airflows, reviewing installations, running automated tests via laptop, and performing physical equipment checks.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Develop, maintain, and perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with facility managers, property owners, and team members regarding system status, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Strictly adhere to EPA regulations and company safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 and EPA Universal certifications (suggested).
- Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems and refrigeration cycles; ability to read commercial wiring schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently, work on ladders/roofs, in tight spaces, and in varied weather conditions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, strong verbal/written communication, and a safety-minded approach.
- Clean and professional appearance; company uniforms provided and required.
- Willingness to travel and complete a 1-week new-hire training at the R&D facility in PA.
