Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of CaptiveAire equipment: verify CAS products operate as designed by testing airflows, reviewing installations, running automated tests via laptop, and physically testing all equipment.
  • Service & repair: troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
  • Maintenance: develop, maintain, and perform routine preventive maintenance on various commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and operation.
  • Diagnostics: read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
  • Customer care: communicate clearly and professionally with facility managers, property owners, and team members regarding system status, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Compliance & safety: strict adherence to EPA regulations and company safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
  • OSHA 10 certification (suggested).
  • EPA Universal certification (suggested).

Skills

  • Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems.
  • Ability to read commercial wiring schematics and refrigeration cycles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must be safety-minded and maintain a clean and professional appearance (company uniforms provided and required).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift independently up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders/roofs, in tight spaces, and in varied weather conditions.

Training

  • New hire training requires a 1-week course at the R&D facility in PA.
  • Ability to travel is required.
