Responsibilities
- Commissioning of CaptiveAire equipment: verify CAS products operate as designed by testing airflows, reviewing installations, running automated tests via laptop, and physically testing all equipment.
- Service & repair: troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Maintenance: develop, maintain, and perform routine preventive maintenance on various commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and operation.
- Diagnostics: read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
- Customer care: communicate clearly and professionally with facility managers, property owners, and team members regarding system status, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Compliance & safety: strict adherence to EPA regulations and company safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- OSHA 10 certification (suggested).
- EPA Universal certification (suggested).
Skills
- Strong understanding of single/three-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read commercial wiring schematics and refrigeration cycles.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Must be safety-minded and maintain a clean and professional appearance (company uniforms provided and required).
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift independently up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on ladders/roofs, in tight spaces, and in varied weather conditions.
Training
- New hire training requires a 1-week course at the R&D facility in PA.
- Ability to travel is required.
