About the role

Helios is seeking a high‑energy Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join its fast‑growing team. Technicians are the core of Helios’s commercial mechanical service, working on diagnosing, repairing, and calibrating commercial HVAC/R systems while delivering quality service and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and support staff.
  • Maintain a fully stocked van and keep tools in optimal condition.
  • Provide reliable coverage for nights, weekends, and on‑call emergencies.
  • Invest in personal skill development through training and certifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lb and frequently move heavy objects.
  • Comfort working in extreme temperatures and confined spaces (attics, basements, crawl spaces).
  • Strong balance and coordination for climbing ladders and working at heights of 45 ft or higher.
  • Endurance to stand or kneel for extended periods.
  • Dexterity for connecting electrical components and making precise measurements.
  • Adherence to all applicable safety procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Universal EPA certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC (refrigeration experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans.
  • Basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay

Base pay is up to $45 per hour, determined by market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
