About the role
CaptiveAire is hiring HVAC and duct Installers for our new self-performing install crew, delivering turnkey HVAC installations for national accounts — rooftop units, supply/return/exhaust duct, low-voltage controls, and full system change-outs — to CaptiveAire's quality standard. Extensive travel is required. This role will report to the Field Engineer/Install Team Lead. The opportunity to be a founding member of CaptiveAire's first install crew and grow with the program.

Responsibilities
- Practice 100% Safe work 100% of the time.
- Install CaptiveAire HVAC equipment — RTUs, ductwork, exhaust fans, and supporting ancillary products — and execute full RTU change-outs.
- Install HVAC low voltage + space HMI's.
- Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and mechanical drawings.
- Follow CaptiveAire installation standards on every job — spreader-bar lifts, minimal deck cutouts, CAS-supplied gasket with surplus on hand, and a clean, safe, organized jobsite.
- Coordinate with the Installation Manager and field teams to keep installs on schedule and on spec.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- 1-5yrs experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel to jobsites. Travel across the US is 100% covered.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- HVAC field/install experience is preferred but not required for a strong candidate — we will train the trade onto the right attitude and skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial HVAC installation experience.
- Refrigeration piping and brazing.
- EPA Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Building Automation Systems (BAS) / controls.
- OSHA 10/30; commissioning and air-balancing experience.

Pay
Competitive pay with a substantial upside bonus tied to on-time installation, quality, and cost, and volume of projects.
