Commercial Finisher
Job Summary
Involves facilities maintenance and construction, performing finishing refresh efforts. Most work is done as a team, but there may be some independent tasks.
Essential Functions
- Communicates and collaborates with supervisor, customers, and other trades/subcontractors to ensure quality, timely, cost-effective maintenance with continuity and coordination of services.
- Performs comprehensive finishing work including: painting (roller, brush, and spray applications), vinyl wallpaper repair, staining, and application of other finishes to decorate and protect interior surfaces.
- Prepares and finishes walls and surface areas, restores damaged wood and metal doors, and does Finisher-related items using hand and power tools.
- Documents procedures and work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensures proper care, maintenance, and safe use of equipment and supplies, keeping work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
- Safeguards all finisher services according to legal specifications, building codes, organizational policies, and compliance requirements.
- Plans and coordinates work flow with other trades and serves as a resource related to building systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience
