Position Summary
The Commercial Estimator will manage, prepare, and execute complete cost estimates for a wide variety of commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of complete cost estimates, budget estimates, and hard bids for diverse commercial construction projects.
- Review and analyze project blueprints, specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documents.
- Quantify take-offs for all labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal project management teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
- Degree is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated success and deep familiarity with the hard bid (lump-sum) delivery method.
- Proven track record estimating a diverse range of commercial project types (e.g., corporate offices, institutional, municipal, retail, or industrial).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
