Responsibilities

• Can install full service upgrades from the PSEG connections, to replacing masts, meters, and full panel swap
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical circuits
• Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Understand layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware
• Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment
• Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
• Ensure proper clean-up of job site
• Willing to drive to the warehouse everyday to pick up a service truck and drive to all NYC boroughs and across Long Island
• Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety
• Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team
• All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Commercial electrician
• Solar experience is a plus but not required - will need to learn
• Clean drivers license
• OSHA 10/ or 30 (preferred, can obtain after being hired)
• Must have own tools
• Able to safely terminate live wires and perform an electrical service upgrade
• Able to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)
• Able to climb ladders/stairs

Pay

$25-$30 per hour
