Commercial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Adequately adhere to Ace Electric’s Safety Program.
• Install, alter, add to, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and associated materials in accordance with company standards and project plans.
• Coordinate work with other construction trades.
• Utilize reasoning and logic to perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately.
• Understand and visualize construction drawings and details.
• Direct the work of Electrician Helpers and Apprentices as assigned.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, ream, and install conduit.
• Pull and terminate branch and feeder conductors.
• Terminate wiring to light fixtures, motors, panels, devices, and other electrical equipment.
• Use test equipment to test voltage, amperage, and continuity of circuit wiring.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on faulty circuits, equipment, or systems.
• Complete all required documentation.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
• Applicable federal, state, and local certifications as required by job conditions or by the company.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum of 6-years electrical experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 - Construction Working Conditions.

• Experience: Minimum of 6-years electrical experience preferred.
• Physical/Mental Functions: Positively identify colors, comprehend construction drawings, schematics, and specifications, bend conduit using hand benders, safely use required power tools, operate construction equipment, dig trenches, read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions, hear and see well (either natural or with correction), lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and move around the construction site.
