Commercial Electrician Apprentice

What You'll Do

• Assisting with the installation of conduit, wire, and electrical equipment
• Measuring, cutting, bending, and installing conduit
• Pulling wire and assisting with electrical rough-in work
• Installing fixtures, devices, and electrical components
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Learning to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Maintaining tools, materials, and a clean work area
• Following all safety requirements and jobsite procedures
• Supporting the successful completion of projects on schedule

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical construction practices
• Able to read a tape measure
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable transportation to Houston-area jobsites
• Able to provide your own basic tools
• Able to work safely in a construction environment
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, climbing ladders
• Lifting materials
• Working outdoors
• Performing physical construction activities in various weather conditions and jobsite environments
